Joseph Cleary to Present on Food & Beverage Wastewater in Water Environment Federation Webcast

Joseph Cleary, P.E. BCEE, (New Jersey) will present "Food & Beverage Wastewater: Anaerobic Treatment and Polishing/Reuse Options" in a Water Environment Federation (WEF) webcast at 1:00 p.m. Eastern on May 6, 2021.

Joe's co-presenters are Val Frenkel, Greeley and Hansen; Sudhi Mukherjee, International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group); Matt Seng, Cambrian; Bill Bratt, Tetra Tech; Norton Fogel, GHD; and Scott Phillips, Garney Construction.

Joe Cleary is a Board-Certified Environmental Engineer based in New Jersey with more than 46 years of experience focused on industrial wastewater, water reuse, energy recovery energy, and the treatment of emerging contaminants, including pharmaceuticals and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

This webcast will review food and beverage wastewater characteristics and low-, medium-, and high-rate anaerobic wastewater treatment systems. The speakers will then discuss anaerobic effluent treatment and reuse options and potential configurations and present several case studies ranging from anaerobic pretreatment only through potential contact reuse systems.
