Geosyntec Staff Awarded Outstanding Engineer

LOS ANGELES — Geosyntec Consultants' Ken Susilo, P.E., CPSWQ, was selected as the 2006 "Outstanding Civil Engineer in the Private Sector" by the Los Angeles Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in September. ASCE, founded in 1852, is an international, professional body of individuals representing the civil engineering community.

Susilo, an Associate at Geosyntec and manager of the firm's West Los Angeles office, was honored with the award in recognition of his accomplishments and support of the engineering profession as well as ASCE throughout Southern California. He has extensive experience within the disciplines of stormwater management, hydraulics, and hydrology. Susilo focuses on pioneering leading-edge engineering design and planning solutions, which are environmentally sensitive and offer multiple benefits to owners and other stakeholders.

Susilo earned his M.S. and B.S. degrees in civil engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. His Masters program focused on hydraulics and coastal

engineering with additional emphasis in geotechnical engineering.
