Seth Kellogg Elected Vice Chair of the Scientists and Engineers Section for the NGWA

Seth Kellogg, P.G. (New Jersey) was elected Vice Chair of the Scientists and Engineers Section of the National Ground Water Association (NGWA).

Seth is a Senior Geologist based in New Jersey with more than 25 years of experience focused on site investigation and remediation, groundwater chemistry, and management of complex and multiparty sites.

As Vice Chair of the Scientists and Engineers Section, she will be responsible for working with the organization to identify priorities, recruiting volunteers, advocating for groundwater professionals, and supporting the Chair in organizing and conducting meetings.

Seth will serve two years as Vice Chair, two years as Chair and then two years as Past Chair. During that time, she will also serve as a Director (or if elected, officer) on the National Board. The National Board is comprised of representatives from the four NGWA Sections, Scientists and Engineers, Contractors, Suppliers, and Manufacturers.

Seth first became involved with NGWA 20 years ago by presenting technical papers at their conferences. Then she was asked to volunteer for a subcommittee on Superfund reform, and she started volunteering her time to develop policy positions and advocate for science-based policy for issues critical to the groundwater industry, like per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). For the last five years she has been a member of the Scientists and Engineers Board of Directors and lead the PFAS Task Group.

NGWA is a community of groundwater professionals working together to advance groundwater knowledge and the success of our members through education and outreach; advocacy; cooperation and information exchange; and enhancement of professional practices. NGWA's vision is to be the leading groundwater association advocating the responsible development, management, and use of water.
