Geosyntec Receives the Associate of the Year Award by IEA and CMTA

Geosyntec was presented with the "Associate of the Year" award during the 35th Annual Environmental Conference held at the San Diego Convention Center on October 1, 2019.

The conference was hosted by the Industrial Environmental Association (IEA) and the California Manufacturers and Technology Association (CMTA).

Accepting the award on behalf of Geosyntec were Danielle Kerper, P.G., QSD, QSP, QISP, Thomas Cueva, Chad Bird (California), and Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger (Washington).

Geosyntec was nominated for this award in recognition of our support for IEA throughout the past year. As Jack Monger, CEO of IEA, stated: "In addition to providing an excellent meeting place for the monthly water committee meetings, we appreciate your participation on the Conference Committee as well as your financial support for that event.  And on top of all that, Geosyntec Consultants regularly contribute and participate on several IEA committees. All in all, Geosyntec Consultants are an indispensable member of IEA, and you set a high standard for all our Associate members. Thank you for your support and involvement."

The 2020 Annual Environmental Conference is presented by the IEA and CMTA. The annual conference hosts about 500 attendees from various professions such as environmental, health, and safety experts, non-governmental organization (NGO) representatives, environmental engineers from public and private sectors, environmental consultants and attorneys, government affairs representatives, U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) representatives, and many more.

The IEA is a non-profit organization serving manufacturing companies in Southern California. IEA advocates on behalf of industry to influence legislation and facilitate environmental compliance for member companies through education and training.

The CMTA works to improve and enhance a strong business climate for California's 30,000 manufacturing, processing, and technology-based companies. Since 1918, CMTA has worked with state government to develop balanced laws, effective regulations and sound public policies to stimulate economic growth and create new jobs while safeguarding the state's environmental resources. CMTA represents 400 businesses from the entire manufacturing community -- an economic sector that generates more than $288 billion every year and employs more than 1.3 million Californians.
