Martha Carr Re-elected as Director for the Georgia Chapter of SWANA

Martha Carr, P.G. (Georgia) has been re-elected as a Director of the Georgia Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).

She will serve a term of two years and nine months, ending in June 2022. The Board of Directors is SWANA-Georgia's governing body that plans and oversees the operations, finances, policies, personnel, contracts, and membership requirements of the chapter.

Martha is a Senior Geologist based in Georgia with more than 26 years of experience in environmental consulting, remediation, and compliance. She specializes in hydrogeology and groundwater remediation. Along with her position in SWANA-Georgia, Martha also serves on the Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Geologists and as a member of the National Association of State Boards of Geology's Council of Examiners.

SWANA-Georgia serves almost 300 members throughout the state and other areas, through conferences, certifications, publications, and technical training courses. SWANA-Georgia represents industry leaders from every discipline in solid waste management. It provides multiple benefits to members, including the opportunity to hear about the latest technologies and/or developments in the solid waste industry and to network with other professionals.
