Adrienne Nemura and Elizabeth Toot-Levy to Participate in WRF Webinar on Integrated Wastewater and Stormwater Planning

Adrienne Nemura, P.E. and Elizabeth Toot-Levy (Ohio) will present an informational session entitled "Updated User's Guide for Considering Integrated Wastewater and Stormwater Planning" during a Water Research Foundation (WRF) web webinar on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.

This web seminar is designed for utilities, municipalities, and regulatory staff who are interested in learning about or applying integrated planning for municipalities. In 2012, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established the Integrated Planning Framework (IPF) policy to assist municipalities in prioritizing Clean Water Act (CWA) related projects and implementing those projects in an affordable manner. EPA's policy was adopted into an amendment to the CWA in January 2019. Under the amendment, any municipal discharger is entitled to pursue an integrated plan, even if the municipality is under an enforcement order.

Geosyntec will be presenting on the recently updated User's Guide which helps communities consider integrated plans. Speakers from Clean Water Services in Hillsboro, Oregon will discuss their successful experience with watershed-based planning. Ohio EPA will summarize a recent state workshop conducted in collaboration with the U.S. Conference of Mayors Water Council, Ohio Mayors Alliance, and U.S. EPA.

Adrienne is a Principal Water Resources Engineer based in Ohio with nearly 35 years of experience focused on helping clients identify cost-effective and sustainable solutions to meet their water quality goals. She has worked for more than 40 cities and wastewater utilities and also state and federal regulatory agencies, industrial facilities, airports, attorneys, consulting firms, non-profit organizations, and trade associations.

Elizabeth has 17 years of experience working in the field of environmental and regulatory compliance. Her expertise includes CWA compliance, water quality standards, water quality and environmental monitoring, risk communication, watershed management, industrial and municipal pretreatment, integrated planning and many other aspects related to local, state, and federal compliance with the CWA.

The WRF is a non-profit research foundation which is the world's leading One Water research and innovation organization operating on six continents. WRF's mission is advancing the science of water to improve the quality of life.
