Danielle Kerper, Kathleen Harrison, and Julie Riggio to Present on Source Tracking for IGP Compliance and Cannabis Environmental Compliance at the IEA Annual Environmental Conference

Danielle Kerper, P.G., QSD, QSP, QISP, Kathleen Harrison, P.G. QSP, QSD, QISP, ToR, and Julie Riggio, QISP, QSP (California) will participate in the Industrial Environmental Association (IEA) 34th Annual Environmental Conference at the San Diego Convention Center on September 27-28, 2018.

Danielle assembled and will moderate a panel presentation entitled "Environmental Compliance Challenges and Impacts to the Cannabis Industry" on the 28th. This panel brings together a consultant, attorney, and state agency representative to discuss environmental compliance challenges with and impacts of the legalization of cannabis in California. 

Kathleen and Julie will present on source tracking strategies for industrial stormwater compliance as part of the "Fundamentals of Water Compliance" session on the 28th. This presentation highlights innovative wet and dry weather strategies to assess pollutant sources at industrial facilities. Kathleen's copanelists are Randy Olms, Sr. Environmental Engineer, Aerospace Engine Systems and Sean Porter, West Region Stormwater Program Manager, Apex Companies, LLC.

Danielle is a Professional Geologist based in California with more than eight years of experience focused on stormwater management, environmental stewardship, and site assessment for various industrial and municipal clients.

Kathleen is a Principal Geologist based in California with more than 20 years of experience focused on watershed management, stormwater pollution prevention, and erosion control. She is a significant contributor to water resource projects across the United States.

Julie is a Scientist based in California with more than four years of experience focused on Aquatic Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning. She is a Qualified Industrial Stormwater Practitioner (QISP) and Qualified Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Practitioner (QSP).  

The 2018 Annual Environmental Conference is presented by the Industrial Environmental Association (IEA) and the California Manufacturers and Technology Association (CMTA). Their annual conference hosts about 500 attendees from various professions such as environmental, health, and safety experts, NGO representatives, environmental engineers from public and private sectors, environmental consultants and attorneys, government affairs representatives, DoD, and many more!

The Industrial Environmental Association of Southern California (IEA) is a non-profit organization that serves the region's manufacturing companies. The IEA advocates on behalf of industry to influence legislation and facilitates environmental compliance for its member companies through education and training.
