Joseph Cleary, P.E., BCEE (New Jersey) will present "Value: Waste Reuse Solutions to Discharge for Industry" at the One Water for Manufacturing workshop at the Water Environment Federation and Technical Exhibition & Conference (WEFTEC) on September 29, 2018.

Joe Cleary is a Principal Environmental Engineer based in New Jersey with more than 42 years of experience focused on industrial wastewater, water reuse, waste to energy, and groundwater remediation.

Objective and Description
Wastewater, stormwater, and potable water are no longer separate, independent utilities in manufacturing facilities. Companies big and small are buying into the "One Water" concept, which views stormwater and wastewater as another source of water.

The One Water Manufacturing Workshop will introduce the fundamental concepts, approaches and technologies of One Water to engineers environmental managers, and water professionals The workshop will cover reuse and reduction solutions for manufacturing industries, regulatory framework, and sustainability initiatives. Experience professionals including representatives from Coca-Cola, Denver Water, General Motors, Suez, and engineering firms lead the workshop.

The workshop will include an interactive session throughout the day where participants will work a fictional wastewater treatment solution for an Industrial park. By the end of the day each group will select and justify a treatment technology, develop high-level Process Flow Diagram Develop and a rough cost estimate
