Joseph Cleary and George Hollerbach to Present "Pharmaceutical Wastewater Treatment Trends and Key Issues" at the NJWEA Technology Transfer Seminar
Joseph Cleary, P.E., BCEE (New Jersey) and George Hollerbach, P.E., CSP (New Jersey) will present "Pharmaceutical Wastewater Treatment Trends and Key Issues" at the New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA) Technology Transfer Seminar from 9:15 - 10:00 a.m. on September 11, 2018.
Joseph Cleary is a Principal Environmental Engineer based in New Jersey with more than 42 years of experience focused on industrial wastewater, water reuse, waste to energy, and groundwater remediation.
George Hollerbach is a Senior Principal Engineer based in New Jersey with more than 35 years of experience focused on water and wastewater, remediation, construction management, environmental health and safety (EHS), and pharmaceutical projects.
The NJWEA Technology Transfer Seminar will feature technical sessions and tabletop exhibits for supporting Manufacturer Representatives and Professional Firms to bring attendees up to date on new products and services.
The NJWEA is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the water environment. Founded in 1915, the Association is the oldest organization of its kind in the United States, with a membership of 2,800 engineers, operators, scientists, students, and other professionals.
Abstract
This presentation with discuss the latest trends in Industrial Water Reuse. A review of the key drivers, water reuse approaches, technologies being used, risk assessment approaches for reusing water in various industry user points and the design system process issues will be discussed. Case studies on water reuse projects in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and refinery industries will be discussed. The tools and approaches used for water balances, technology evaluations, treatability testing, decision making and cost estimating tools including the "true costs of water" will be presented.
