Rodolfo Sancio and Logan Brant to Present on Slope Stabilization Techniques for Pipelines at Marcellus Shale Coalition Technical Training
Rodolfo Sancio, Ph.D., PE., D.GE. (Texas) and Logan Brant, Ph.D., PE. (Texas) will present "Slope Stabilization Techniques for Pipelines: Concepts" at the Marcellus Shale Coalition Technical Training at the Hilton Garden Inn in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania on June 20, 2018.
Rodolfo is a Senior Principal Geotechnical Engineer based in Houston, Texas with more than 18 years of experience focused on geohazard evaluations, geotechnical site investigations, site development and ground improvement solutions, and advanced foundation analyses for large industrial facilities and civil construction.
Logan is a Senior Engineer based in Houston, Texas with more than 10 years of experience focused on numerous offshore, nearshore, and onshore projects, for which he has provided on-site inspection and client technical representation services, as well as office-based engineering and design services.
The Marcellus Shale Coalition works with exploration and production, midstream, and supply chain partners in the Appalachian Basin and across the country to address issues regarding the production of natural gas from the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays. They provide information to policymakers, regulators, media and other public stakeholders on the positive effects responsible natural gas production is having on families, businesses, and communities across the region.
Presentation Description
This session will discuss slope stabilization technique concepts that aim to mitigate slope instability hazards to pipelines. Topics covered will include soil and rock mechanics fundamentals for development of mitigation approaches, phased site-specific investigations for development of slope stability mitigation affecting pipelines, stability analyses and evaluations, slope stabilization and mitigation techniques, and monitoring programs.
