Jamey Rosen to Moderate and Present at Deep Foundations and Ground Improvement Conference in Rome
Jamey Rosen, P.Geo. (Ontario) will make a significant technical contribution to the International Conference on Deep Foundations and Ground Improvement: Urbanization and Infrastructure Development-Future Challenges, presented by the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) and the European Federation of Foundation Contractors (EFFC) in Rome, Italy on June 5-8, 2018.
Jamey will be co-moderating a session entitled "Project Information Management System (PIMS) and Building Information Modeling (BIM)" and will be giving two presentations: "Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting for Small Excavations and Barrier Walls," and "Updates from DFI Europe BIM/Digitalisation and DFI PIMS Committees." Jamey will also serve as a session chair.
Jamey is a Senior Principal Geoscientist based in Ontario with more than 20 years of experience focused on information management system design and development and geographic information systems (GIS). Jamey has developed systems to validate, manage, analyze and visualize construction, geotechnical, and environmental data for projects and facilities in the United States and Canada.
This conference will explore the industry's challenges presented by owners and owners' representatives (consultants/construction managers) who are associated with building the infrastructure systems to meet modern demands. The event will provide a forum for presentations from contractors, engineers, researchers and manufacturers (technology providers) on projects and studies related to new technologies, methods of construction, design concepts, equipment, materials and electronic in connection with the developing of PIMS and the BIM applied to the geotechnical and foundation industry.
DFI is an international association of contractors, engineers, manufacturers, suppliers, academics and owners in the deep foundations industry. It promotes the advancement of the deep foundations industry through technical committees, educational programs and conferences, publication of guides and specifications, a peer-reviewed journal, a magazine, research, government relations and outreach. DFI has more than 3,300 members worldwide.
