Adrienne Nemura will present an informational session entitled "User's Guide for Integrated Stormwater and Wastewater Planning" during the Water Environment Research Foundation and the WateReuse Research Foundation (WRF/WEF) Web Seminar Series at 1:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.

This web seminar is designed for utilities and municipalities that are in various stages of considering and conducting the integrated stormwater and wastewater planning. In 2012, U.S. EPA established the Integrated Planning Framework (IPF) policy to assist municipalities in achieving the water quality objectives by identifying efficiencies in implementing requirements that arise from both wastewater and stormwater programs and promote regulatory flexibilities. The User's Guide for Integrated Stormwater and Wastewater Planning is intended to help a community determine if it should embark on an integrated plan. This web seminar will discuss the Integrated Planning Considerations Tool, which provides an indication of how prepared the community is to undertake an integrated plan. Furthermore, the speakers will provide a concise summary of the outcomes of the Community Insights Survey and the associated case studies, organized by six elements for integrated planning.

Adrienne is a Senior Principal Water Resources Engineer based in Michigan with more than 30 years of experience focused on helping clients identify cost-effective and sustainable solutions to meet their water quality goals. She has worked for more than 40 cities and wastewater utilities and also state and federal regulatory agencies, industrial facilities, airports, attorneys, consulting firms, non-profit organizations, and trade associations.

The web seminar series features scientific experts who discuss research topics and answer questions. The Web Seminar Series is a resource designed for participants and their organization.

The Water Environment & Reuse Foundation (WE&RF) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization officially formed in July 2016 as the result of the merger of Water Environment Research Foundation and the WateReuse Research Foundation. The merged research foundation, with a combined research portfolio of over $200 million, conducts research to treat and recover beneficial materials from wastewater, stormwater, and seawater including water, nutrients, energy, and biosolids.

The Foundation also plays an important role in the translation and dissemination of applied research, technology demonstration, and education, through creation of research-based educational tools and technology exchange opportunities.
