Geosyntec Consultants at the 9th Annual Southeast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit
Daniel Schauer, Mark Ellard, Tom Amstadt, and Lee Mullon (Florida) will attend the 9th Annual Southeast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on December 14-15, 2017.

Dan Schauer is a Senior Principal Geologist and National Manager of Geosyntec's Construction Services Practice Group based in Florida with over 33 years of geological, hydrogeological, and geotechnical consulting experience focused on multidisciplinary engineering contracts for federal, municipal, and private clients throughout the U.S. and abroad. His practice includes a diverse set of consulting specialties such as construction management, water control infrastructure rehabilitation, waste containment facility design and construction QA/QC, and large-scale soil and groundwater remediation.
Mark Ellard is a Senior Principal Water Resources and Environmental Engineer based in Florida with more than 25 years of experience in diverse watershed management, water quality assessment, and stormwater design projects. Mark's water resources background includes watershed management and master planning; coastal resiliency and adaptation studies, floodplain management; pollutant load assessment; National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System compliance; low impact development (LID); environmental resource permitting; and hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic, and groundwater flow modeling.
Tom Amstadt is a Project Engineer based in Florida with more than ten years of experience helping clients with water resource projects for state, county and city government clients. His keys areas of expertise include stormwater retrofits, stormwater master planning efforts, floodplain analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, construction plans preparation, water quality analysis, best management practice (BMP) conceptualization, and environmental resource permitting.
Lee Mullon is a Project Engineer with more than 15 years of experience working with stormwater management and water resources projects for public and private clients. His keys areas of expertise include stormwater master planning efforts; stormwater BMP design and retrofits; stormwater and surface sampling and collection; floodplain analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling; construction plans and specifications preparation; construction cost estimation and schedule development; construction bid support; construction inspection and oversight; infrastructure concept visualization; stormwater pollutant prevention plan (SWPPP) development; environmental resource permitting; grant assistance; and project management.
The annual summit is coordinated by the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact, a partnership between Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach counties, their municipalities and other partners. The Climate Leadership Summit is a major regional event focused on facilitating climate-related collaboration and knowledge sharing. The summit attracts innovative thinkers and leaders from business, government, academia and the non-profit community to exchange ideas and dialogue at panel discussions and networking breaks.
The mission of the Environmental Planning and Community Resilience Division is to protect, restore, and enhance, for the benefit of Broward County residents, visitors and ecosystems, the quality, abundance and diversity of the County's natural resources through coordinated management efforts, including research, planning, monitoring, project implementation, and outreach activities.
