Geosyntec Sponsors Employee Membership for Society of Women Engineers

Geosyntec is proud to sponsor the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) as part of Geosyntec's Diversity Initiative.

The firm provides sponsored professional memberships for employees who wish to sign up. Geosyntec believes membership to SWE will support and develop leadership within the firm. Membership includes access to hundreds of hours of online professional development, local SWE section events and networking, and outreach opportunities to children in K-12th grade in order to inspire and support the next generation of women engineers.

Geosyntec is particularly proud to continue to support Tasha Kamegai-Karadi, P.E. (Oakland) in her leadership role within SWE. Tasha was the 2016 president of the Orange County, California section of SWE, and helped to establish a section in Hawaii. For her contributions within the organization and the field of engineering, in 2016 Tasha was nominated by SWE and awarded the DiscoverE New Faces of Engineering Award, which recognizes the talents of engineering leaders who are 30 years of age and younger.

For more than six decades, SWE has given women engineers a unique place and voice within the engineering industry. The organization is centered around a passion for members' success and continues to evolve with the challenges and opportunities reflected in today's exciting engineering and technology specialties. SWE was founded to support the personal and professional development of women in STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
