Jule Carr Elected President of the Chicagoland Chapter of Engineers Without Borders
Jule Carr (Illinois) was elected President of the Chicagoland Chapter of Engineers Without Borders for the 2017-2018 term at the April general body meeting.
Jule is a Senior Staff Engineer based in Illinois. Her practice is focused on contaminated site assessment and cleanup, geotechnical, and geospatial engineering services for private and public sector clients. Her project experience includes in situ technologies such as hydraulic cutoff walls, soil mixing, and chemical oxidation.
Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is a national non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to partnering with developing communities around the world. EWB-USA provides engineering services through volunteer chapter members to implement the infrastructure necessary to meet basic human needs.
Currently the Chicagoland chapter leads international projects in Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Bolivia. Jule has been involved in the EWB Chicagoland executive board for over a year and was previously involved in the EWB Carnegie Mellon Chapter.
