Amanda Hughes (Illinois) co-authored an article published in the American Bar Association's (ABA) journal Natural Resources & Environment in Volume 31, number 4, Spring 2017.

The article, entitled "Volunteer Citizen Scientists, Unintentional Legal Consequences," discusses how crowdsourced citizen environmental science volunteers necessarily but unwittingly also volunteer to follow complex laws that have yet to be clearly interpreted by the courts.

The Geosyntec authors collaborated with Steven M. Siros, and Alexander J. Bandza, of Jenner & Block LLP in Chicago, Illinois.
