Andrea Braga, P.E., CPESC (Brookline)

Andrea's practice is focused on water resources and environmental engineering, specializing in the design and construction of low-impact development and green infrastructure techniques for stormwater management control. Andrea earned a M.S. in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering from Villanova University in 2005, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Villanova University in 2004.

Brandon A Mogan, P.E., LEED (Columbia, SC)

Brandon's practice is focused on permitting, compliance, and management of air emissions for midstream gas and manufacturing clients. More recently his practice has grown to include FERC and NEPA support to the midstream natural gas transmission market. Brandon earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina in 2007.

Christopher Gale, P.G. (San Diego)

Since joining Geosyntec in 2005, Chris has focused on delivering remediation projects and providing litigation support. Chris earned a M.S. in Geological Sciences from San Diego State University in 2004, and a B.A. in Geology from the Colorado College in 2001.

Doug Baumwirt, P.G. (San Diego, Old Town)

Doug's practice includes Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); extensive work plan preparation and implementation; coordination and mobilization of diverse field activities; permitting; soil, groundwater, sediment, and soil vapor sample collection; groundwater statistical analysis; and preparation of various types of reports including groundwater monitoring, phase II environmental site assessments, site conceptual models, remediation feasibility studies, and water resource availability studies. Doug earned a B.S. in Geological Sciences from San Diego State University in 2005.

Janet Goodfellow (Guelph)

Janet's practice is focused on using her extensive knowledge of wastewater treatment processes to help clients in the food and beverage industry evaluate and troubleshoot their wastewater issues. Janet earned a B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph in 1999.

Jennifer Nyman, Ph.D., P.E. (Oakland)

Jennifer's practice is focused on the characterization and remediation of groundwater and sediment contaminated with metals, radionuclides, nitrate, perchlorate, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum hydrocarbons. Her research contributions include, most recently, a publication in the Journal of Contaminant Hydrology in 2016, an Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council award, and participation on a prestigious National Science Foundation advisory board. Jennifer earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Stanford University in 2006, a M.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Stanford University in 2002, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University in 2000.

Jeremy Morris, Ph.D., P.E. (Columbia, Maryland)

Jeremey's practice is focused on landfill design, construction, closure, post-closure care (PCC), valuation of engineering projects, and wetlands treatment of landfill leachate. Known internationally for his expertise in landfill biological and chemical processes and the very long-term performance of municipal waste landfills, Jeremy was the principal investigator for the Evaluation of Post-Closure Care (EPCC) methodology, including development of technical guidance for the Environmental Research and Education Foundation (EREF) and the U.S. Navy and consultation to numerous state agencies regarding its application. He has written more than 50 technical publications since joining Geosyntec. Jeremy earned a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2001, a M.Sc. and D.I.C. in Environmental Engineering from Imperial College London in 1995, and a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London in 1993.

John Persico, P.G. (Princeton)

Since joining Geosyntec in 2015, John has built a successful remediation practice that includes several large remediation projects. A trusted colleague and partner to many at Geosyntec, John serves as Operations Manager for the Princeton office, and a key member of the New Jersey Branch leadership team. John earned a M.S. in Geology with a concentration in Geochemistry from the University of New Mexico in 1988, and a B.A. in Geology from the State University of New York in 1984.

Len deVlaming (Waterloo)

Len's practice is focused on process engineering, procurement, process controls, and management of complex remedial design/construction projects. Since joining Geosyntec in 2011, Len's critical contributions to the branch and the firm have increased steadily as he has taken on responsibility for key project delivery. He is a recognized process engineering leader. Len earned a M.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1997, and a B.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1995.

Matt Wissler, P.G. (Clearwater)

Matt's practice is focused on water resource evaluation, hydrogeologic investigations relating to resource and waste permitting, and contaminated site assessment and remediation. Matt joined Geosyntec in 2002 as a Staff Hydrogeologist in the Tampa, Florida office, and has steadily attracted new projects and clients throughout Florida and the southeastern United States. Matt earned a M.S. in Hydrogeology and Geochemistry from the University of South Florida in 2003, and a B.S. in Geology from Florida State University in 2000.

Melissa Schmitt, P.E. (Seattle)

Melissa's practice is focused on site strategy development, engineering design for remediation, and site investigation and characterization. In her 11 years at Geosyntec, Melissa has become a trusted resource for clients and has developed large remediation projects. Melissa earned  a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2005.

Tamara Hebeler, P.E. (Kennesaw)

Tammy's practice is focused on geotechnical, remediation, and environmental management projects. She has also been a company leader in designing innovative customized data collection systems in conjunction with database and GIS design. Tammy earned a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1999, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University in 1997.

Thom Bristol (Columbia, SC)

Thom's areas of practice include water and natural resources, environmental permitting and regulatory compliance, environmental site assessment, remediation, and environmental due diligence. Thom was one of the founding members of our growing Columbia South Carolina Office. Thom earned a M.E.A. in Environmental Assessment from North Carolina State University in 2013, and a B.A. in Environmental Studies, Biology from Eckerd College in 1999.

Victor M. Damasceno, Ph.D., P.E. (Charlotte)

Victor's practice is focused on the application of geotechnical and geophysical techniques to evaluate and monitor chemical and physical processes in soils. Victor manages complex management and closure projects for coal combustion residuals at several energy production facilities, providing engineering analyses for facility design and dike design on soft soils. Victor earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 2007, a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa in Brazil in 2003, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa in Brazil in 2001.
