Geosyntec will co-present a Short Course entitled "Passive Sampling of Hydrophobic Organic Compounds at Sediment Sites: Practical Advice for Decision-Makers and End-Users" at the Ninth International Conference on Remediation and Management of Contaminated Sediments in New Orleans, Louisiana from 1:00-5:00pm on January 9, 2017.

Passive sampling is quickly becoming the primary approach for measuring the availability of hydrophobic organic compounds in sediments, and is being applied to questions regarding risk, fate, and remedy effectiveness at a variety of contaminated sediment sites.

The goal of this course is to provide consultants, regulators, and stakeholders with the basic tools and concepts they need to apply passive samplers in the decision making process at sediment sites.
