Pete King to Moderate Program on Contaminants of Emerging Concern

Pete King will be moderating a program to examine Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) for the Environmental Business Council of New England (EBC).

CECs such as perfluorooctanesulfonic acid or perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), 1,4-Dioxane, pharmaceuticals, microbeads and nanoparticles are increasingly being detected in the environment. Several distinguished speakers will define the scope of the problem, provide regulatory and scientific viewpoints, and discuss the challenges for assessing and remediating these compounds. Following the presentations, a panel discussion will be held to discuss the opportunities that are available to identify, quantify, and treat CECs.

Pete serves on the EBC New Hampshire Chapter Leadership team. The EBC New Hampshire Chapter Program: Contaminants of Emerging Concern - will be held at Eversource Energy in Manchester, NH on Friday, February 12 from 7:30 until noon.
