Scott Drew to Co-Present on Vapor Intrusion

Scott Drew, LSRP (Princeton/Ewing) will be a co-presenter at a training program sponsored by Alpha Analytical Labs entitled “New Jersey Vapor Intrusion Guidance Update.

The event, scheduled for November 6, 2014 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Edison, New Jersey, will discuss the changes in New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) technical guidance and screening levels for vapor intrusion programs, technical approaches for site investigation and preemptive mitigation, practical considerations, best practices, and application of professional judgment.

Vapor intrusion science and technology continue to evolve and regulations, technical guidance and screening levels continue to change. In March 2013, NJDEP issued revised Vapor Intrusion Technical Guidance and Screening Levels.  In April 2014, the NJDEP issued the Analytical Technical Guidance.

This training program will also include an overview of the Laboratory Data Quality Assurance requirements, including Data of Known Quality Protocols (DKQPs), QAPP preparation, and data quality and usability assessments.

Scott’s presentation is entitled, “The Application of Professional Judgment under the NJDEP Vapor Intrusion Technical Guidance.”  Other presenters will include:
