2015 RemTEC Summit

The RemTEC Summit is focused on advancing the environmental science and remediation industry.  This event showcases essential sources of information on technology, application, and policy affecting the restoration of contaminated sites.  RemTEC draws leaders and key stakeholders from academia, government, and the regulatory community as well as site owners, private consultants, and various other environmental professionals.  Geosyntec Consultants is a Platinum Sponsor of the RemTEC Summit and played a leadership role in preparing the technical program.

    Principal Rula Deeb (Oakland) is one  of the Conference Chairs and will be presiding over the conference’s student program with the assistance of Environmental Engineer Tasha  Kamegai-Karadi (Oakland).

    Principal Peter Zeeb (Acton) will chair a panel discussion on  Considerations for Site Management and Remediation in Multi-National Settings.

    Principal Evan Cox (Waterloo) will present a platform entitled Full-Scale  Electrokinetically-Enhanced Bioremediation (Ek-Bio) of PCE DNAPL in Clay – Results From Year 1.

    Senior  Scientist Sandra Dworatzek (Toronto) will present a platform entitled Optimization of Metals Remediation using Column and  Microcosm.

    Associate Bruce Marvin (Oakland) will have a poster presentation on the  Manganese Activated Persulfate (MnAP) for the Treatment of a Source Zone: An Innovative Dual Oxidant Formulation.

     

    Associate Gary Wealthall (Toronto) will have a poster presentation on the Advances in high resolution site  characterization for NAPL Source Zones: The development of an objective-driven remedial investigation method at a coal tar DNAPL  site.

    Senior Engineer Derek Tomlinson (Philadelphia), Associate Gary Wealthall (Toronto),  and Principal Peter Zeeb (Acton) will have a poster presentation on A Practitioner Educational Resource: Illustrated  Handbook of LNAPL Fate and Behavior in the Subsurface.

    Senior Engineer Ryan Wymore (Northern  Colorado) will have a poster presentation on Long Term Management of Complex Sites.

     Senior Scientist Sandra Dworatzek (Toronto) will have a poster presentation on Enhanced In-Situ Bioremediation of  Chloroform and Dichloromethane using Bioaugmentation.

    Environmental Engineer Valerie Bosscher  (Chicago) will have a poster presentation on In-situ Micro-Scale ZVI Injection and Bioremediation Injections for Source  Abatement, Beneath an Active Manufacturing Facility.

    Project Engineer Randy Putnam (Denver)  will have a poster presentation on the Treatment of 1,4-Dioxane with Changing Regulations.

    Project  Scientist Andrzej Przepiora (Waterloo) will have a poster presentation on the Evaluation of ZVI PRB Rejuvenation  Methods.
