Marcus Quigley Technical Session to Address Stormwater Management for Urban Universities

Marcus Quigley, P.E., D.WRE, CPESC, a principal civil and environmental engineer for Geosyntec based in Massachusetts, will present a technical session on advanced rainwater harvesting and stormwater management for urban campus environments next week in Orlando, Florida.

The technical session will be held in conjunction with the 60th Annual Conference of the Campus Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA), set for July 12-17, 2013. Mr. Quigley's session begins at 3:30 p.m. July 16 in the Oceans Ballroom of the Renaissance Orlando at Sea World, 6677 Sea Harbor Drive. Pre-registration is required.

Mr. Quigley's co-presenters will be Kathy DeBesk and William Hunt of North Carolina State University. Their technical session will address the uses of green infrastructure for stormwater control at urban universities as well as strategies campus officials may want to consider when applying for stormwater permits. The session also will feature a case study of an advanced rainwater harvesting system called OptiRTC that incorporates weather forecasting and control logic to maximize rainwater capture and reduce discharge.

Geosyntec is an Associate Member of CSHEMA. Also attending this year's conference on behalf of the firm will be Russ Abell (Portsmouth), Dan Elliott (Princeton), Beau Hodge (Raleigh), and Chad Drummond (Orlando).
