Mark Allendorf, P.G., R.G., has more than 35 years of experience as a geologist/hydrogeologist within the upstream petroleum, municipal solid waste, and hazardous waste sectors. He has provided remediation designs, geochemical characterization, and technical support for more than 100 waste facilities in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. He also has been the project manager for numerous CERCLA sites, providing clients with liability control, project guidance, budgetary oversight, and technical support. Lucy Jen, Ph.D., P.E., has more than 16 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, foundation engineering, and numerical methods in geotechnical engineering. Her experience includes forensic geotechnical engineering, providing litigation support for projects involving the performance of mechanically stabilized earth walls and similar infrastructure. She also lectures at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical engineering design. Shanna Thompson, P.E., has 12 years of environmental engineering experience specializing in site investigation, remediation design, and the operation of remediation systems for industrial clients. Many of her projects sites are listed on the Georgia Hazardous Sites Inventory for clients in the chemical and manufacturing industry. Shanna recently was the project manager for one of the first sites in Georgia to be delisted in the state's new Voluntary Remediation Program.
