Michael Bloom Earns Envision Sustainability Professional Credential
Michael Bloom, P.E., CFM, BCEE, a water resources engineer and an Associate of the firm based in Texas, is the first Geosyntec practitioner to earn the Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credential from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI).
Mr. Bloom now is trained and certified to use the Envision Sustainable Infrastructure Rating System in the planning, design, and construction of civil infrastructure projects that seek to balance their economic, social, and ecological performance. He can guide project teams through the use of Envision so that clients can seek ISI verification of their projects and receive ISI recognition for their completion in a more sustainable way.
Envision is an infrastructure rating system developed to help designers, builders, and infrastructure owners build and direct infrastructure projects toward increasing levels of sustainability. Its creation was a collaboration between the ISI and the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. The ISI was established by the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Public Works Association, and the American Council of Engineering Companies to develop and maintain this rating system for civil infrastructure in the United States.
