Geosyntec Consultants Honored as Employer of the Year in Georgia

Geosyntec Consultants earned the honor of "Employer of the Year in Georgia" during the Engineers Week Gala held in Atlanta on February 16.

Geosyntec was chosen as Employer of the Year in the large business category by the Georgia Engineering Alliance, a collaborative coalition of professional societies and related industry organizations that serve the broad needs of the Georgia engineering community. The alliance created the award this year to honor the firms and agencies that help build the future for the engineering profession throughout the state.

"We're very proud of this accomplishment, and earning this award from our professional peers in Georgia is especially gratifying this year," said Ganesh Krishnan, P.E., CPESC, an environmental engineer and an Associate of the firm based in Atlanta.

"Geosyntec has been in business for 30 years, and this year marks our 25th anniversary in Georgia. We're very proud of this accomplishment," Mr. Krishnan said. "We're proud of our past and we're excited about our future, and we're looking forward to accomplishing more for our clients in Georgia."

Together, the Employer of the Year award recipients represent small, medium, and large private firms as well as public sector agencies that have contributed to the engineering industry through the planning, design, and implementation of critical projects; through the cultivation of talented professionals; and through the advancement of the profession via community involvement and education.

Georgia Engineers Week is a cooperative effort of the professional engineering organizations across the state, and is coordinated through the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers. During the week, organizations host a series of programs designed to promote the engineering disciplines to students, help expand public recognition of the engineering profession, and celebrate engineering accomplishments throughout Georgia.
