Geosyntec Welcomes Kathleen McGowen, P.E., as Senior Engineer

Kathleen McGowan, P.E., joins Geosyntec's West Los Angeles office as Senior Engineer.

Kathleen McGowen, P.E., joins Geosyntec with more than 20 years of experience in environmental compliance, NPDES permits, storm water pollution prevention, and industrial and hazardous waste management. Her current practice is focused on assisting municipal clients facing rapidly evolving storm water and urban runoff water quality challenges. Kathleen has been consulting independently for cities in the Santa Monica Bay and Palos Verdes Peninsula areas of Los Angeles and is delighted to be able to introduce her current clients to Geosyntec.

Kathleen was attracted to Geosyntec's emphasis on client service, technical excellence, and the value the firm places on its employees as the true assets of the company. "Now that the focus of TMDLs has shifted beyond monitoring and planning into true implementation, it will be fantastic to be able to offer clients the full service resources that Geosyntec can provide," she said.

Kathleen earned her B.S. in chemical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and M.S. in environmental engineering from Georgia Tech.
