David Vance to Discuss Stream Assessments, Improvement Projects at Texas Meeting
David J. Vance, a project scientist based in Geosyntec's Atlanta office, is to address the Texas chapter of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG) at its summer meeting in Houston on July 21.
Vance will speak on the topic of Stream Assessments, Mitigation, and Channel Improvement Projects in Southeast Texas. The event begins at 8 a.m. and will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Northwest, 7979 Willow Chase Boulevard.
Vance has an extensive portfolio of stream mitigation projects in the Southeast. He will provide a procedural overview of assessment and mitigation regulations and specifically address the geological and geomorphological elements being used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Galveston District to determine mitigation requirements for upcoming regional projects.
