Derek Tomlinson to Teach Vapor Intrusion Course in Pennsylvania
Derek Tomlinson, P.E., LSRP, a senior engineer in Geosyntec's Pennsylvania office, is to be an instructor for a course on vapor intrusion for the Pennsylvania Council of Professional Geologists (PCPG) May 16 in Monroeville, Pa. Registration began March 5.
The course, Act 2 Toolkit: Vapor Intrusion, is the third in a popular series offered by the council. It helps geologists, engineers, and environmental professionals learn new details about the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) Vapor Intrusion Policy.
In 2004, DEP officials published the policy with the intention of updating it by 2013. Derek's vapor intrusion course teaches professionals how to implement the current policy and learn about anticipated changes now in discussion. Attendees also learn new methods and approaches to data collection and evaluation.
