De Flaun Co-Authors Paper on Bacterial Transport Research

Mary de Flaun, PhD, a principal engineer in Geosyntec's Princeton office, has co-authored the publication of "Lessons Learned from Bacterial Transport Research at the South Oyster Site", to appear in the September-October 2011 issue of Groundwater, Journal of the Scientists and Engineers Division of the National Ground Water Association.

The paper documents the experiments performed under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Energy to characterize bacterial presence in aquifers. The body of research associated with these experiments has been widely cited by others and remains an influence on the design of highly instrumented field research programs.

Mary's co-authors include Timothy Scheibe (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory), Susan Hubbard (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory), and Tullis Onstott (Princeton University).
