Peter de Haven and Jamey Rosen Present NGWA Groundwater Data Management Webinar
ATLANTA, Ga. — Peter de Haven, PE, and Jamey Rosen, PGeo, will present the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) webinar, "Life Cycle of Groundwater Data: From Field to Lab to Electronic Data Deliverable to Report," on February 16, 2011 at 1 pm EST.
Peter and Jamey will discuss:
- Methods for tracking groundwater data in electronic data deliverables and relational databases
- Key concepts in data management
- Examples of database verification
- Electronic data submission to regulatory agencies
- Geographical information systems (GIS) and other methods of data analysis and visualization
Peter is based in Geosyntec's Atlanta Regional Office. He has 15 years of experience at Geosyntec and has addressed projects and facilities in 25 U.S. territories and states as well as the United Kingdom. As a project manager and technical team leader, his disciplines practiced include site characterization, data management and analysis, numerical modeling, and both the conceptual and final design of engineered remediation measures. Peter has an MS in civil engineering (environmental fluid mechanics and hydrology) from Stanford University and a BSE in civil-environmental engineering from Princeton University.
Jamey is based in Guelph, Canada, has 15 years of experience as a hydrogeologist and data management specialist, with a focus on environmental, legal and geotechnical database design, management and GIS. He has managed data for projects and facilities throughout the United States and Canada. Jamey has an MSc in environmental hydrogeology and a BSc in earth sciences from the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
