Invited Lecturer Marcus Quigley Talks Green Stormwater Infrastructure
BOSTON, Ma. — Marcus Quigley, PE, CPESC, D.WRE was an invited guest lecturer at the Boston Redevelopment Authority on January 20, 2011. In his talk, "The Performance and Practice of Green Stormwater Infrastructure: Developing and Retrofitting our Urban Environments in a Changing Regulatory Climate," Marcus discussed trends and upcoming changes in clean water act compliance, performance of technologies to address these requirements, and innovative strategies for transforming the way our cities impact receiving waters.
Marcus is a leading expert in stormwater best management practice (BMP) design, research and development, modeling, data analysis, and field data acquisition. A Principal based in Geosyntec's Brookline, Mass., office, he has more than 13 years of experience working on challenging projects related to surface water hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, as well as erosion and sediment control permitting and management. Marcus has an MS in civil and environmental engineering from Oregon State University and a BS in environmental engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
