ATLANTA — Geosyntec Consultants announces that it is now approved as a Registered Environmental Consultant (REC) and two staff are accredited as Registered Site Managers (RSM) with the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NCDENR). Mr. Todd Hagemeyer, P.G. based in Atlanta, Ga., and Mr. Todd Kafka, P.G., based in Knoxville, Tenn., are both approved as RSMs by NCDENR.

As a REC, Geosyntec can implement and certify regulatory compliance of voluntary remedial actions at sites where parties entered into consent agreements with the NCDENR's Inactive Hazardous Sites Branch. "On North Carolina's behalf, the RSM/REC certifies that the investigative and remediation phases of a project are protective of human health and the environment," said Todd Kafka, P.G. Kafka adds, "One of the main benefits to our clients in this program is the ability to streamline the remediation process."
