Geosyntec's Bill Priore, Howard Cumberland Present at Sediment/Soils Symposium
ATLANTA, Ga. — Bill Priore, PG, and Howard Cumberland presented "Robust Delineation of Contamination for Remedial Design Planning to Minimize Uncertainties during Project Execution" at the Mid-Atlantic Contaminated Sediment/Soils Symposium in Jersey City, N.J., on March 24, 2010. The symposium was sponsored by Aqua Survey.
In their presentation, Bill and Howard discussed methods project managers and clients can apply to more accurately predict contaminant location and estimate volumes for removal leading to selection of the most cost-effective and efficient technology for remediation. Considering the potential time and capital investments that could be spent on remediation of contaminated sediments, understanding the extent and sources of contamination, volumes, and geotechnical properties of the sediment is crucial for achieving environmental protection goals efficiently.
