Geosyntec Welcomes Scott Sheridan as Senior Engineer

RICHMOND, Va. — Geosyntec welcomes Scott Sheridan, PE, as Senior Engineer. Scott is based in the firm's Richmond, Va., office.

Scott has 15 years of experience in solid waste facility permitting, design, and closure management providing the full range of professional services to clients developing new "greenfield" facilities and expanding or closing existing facilities. During the course of his career, he has provided facility construction quality assurance services for projects that included mechanically stabilized earth berms, landfill cells, and landfill cover systems.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Scott was a member of a University of Florida research team that designed and evaluated the performance of a state-funded bioreactor demonstration project at a regional landfill. He also prepared Best Management Practices for solid wastes such as construction and demolition debris, hazardous building components, and cathode ray tubes.

Scott earned MS degrees in both environmental engineering and statistics at the University of Florida. He also earned a BS in statistics from the University of South Carolina.
