Geosyntec Welcomes Bruce Marvin as Associate
OAKLAND, Ca. — Geosyntec welcomes Bruce Marvin, PE, as Associate. He is based in the firm's Oakland, Ca., office.
Bruce's background in the civil and environmental engineering field has focused on remediation technology applications, particularly related to in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO). Bruce's interest in ISCO technology began in 1998. While presenting the results of his first in situ ozone treatment pilot test, he saw firsthand the potential of potassium permanganate for ISCO. He spent the next 10 years pioneering the field application of potassium permanganate, ozone and persulfate. He is recognized for his expertise in the chemistry and application of ISCO as a result of completing numerous projects across the US, Canada, Japan, and Australia.
Bruce has investigated and remediated sites impacted with chlorinated solvents, hydrocarbons, metals, high explosives, and complex mixtures such as those found at former manufactured gas plant and waste disposal sites. In addition, he has performed remedial investigations, removal actions, feasibility studies, innovative technology evaluations, deployment scenarios analyses, corrective measures studies, and numerous pilot and bench tests of chemical, biological, and thermal technologies.
Geosyntec welcomes Bruce Marvin its Oakland office.
Bruce earned his MS in environmental engineering and science from Stanford University and his BS in civil engineering from Northeastern University in Boston. He also has a certificate in safety management from the American Society of Safety Engineers.
