Geosyntec Staff to Present at 2010 New England Water Environment Association Annual Conference

BOSTON, Ma. — Several representatives of Geosyntec's Boston operation will be presenting at the upcoming 2010 New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) Annual Conference and Exhibition in January in Boston. With an attendance of over 1,800 participants, this is one of the largest groups of water professionals in New England that includes municipal clients.

Renee Fitsik will be a member of a panel entitled "Watershed Management I — Green Technologies in Stormwater Management." Her presentation will discuss the effectiveness of environmentally sensitive site design and Low Impact Development (LID) techniques on stormwater runoff at the Partridgeberry Place subdivision.

As part of a panel entitled "Diverse Approaches to Sustainability," Andrea Braga, CPESC, will discuss monitoring challenges and results for a variety of LID best management practices such as bioretention cells, raingardens, and porous pavements.

Marcus Quigley, PE, CPESC, D.WRE, will be part of a panel entitled "Instrumentation, Modeling and Computer Applications," and will be presenting on the use of ambient information systems to change water use behavior.

Geosyntec, along with our subsidiary MMI Engineering, will be exhibiting at the conference as well. The NEWEA annual conference will be held at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel from January 24-27 in downtown Boston.
