Rachel Zajac-Fay to Serve on Panel at ISBA Annual Law Conference

Rachel Zajac-Fay will serve on a panel at the Illinois State Bar Association’s (ISBA’s) Annual Environmental and Natural Resources Law Conference on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. CT in Chicago, Illinois.

Rachel and Michael Murphy of HeplerBroom will speak on “The Regulation and Challenges of Microplastics and Other Emerging Contaminants.”

Rachel is a Senior Scientist with more than 17 years of experience focused on ecological risk assessment, ecotoxicology, contaminated site assessments, and emerging contaminants. Rachel specializes in emerging contaminants including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and microplastics and is a practice leader for Geosyntec’s Microplastics group.

ISBA’s 23rd Annual Environmental and Natural Resources Law Conference covers topics like updates from environmental agencies, wetland identification, regulation of microplastics, PFAS assessment, and the future of Illinois’ energy industries.
