Paige Leitman Earns IBERA Certification

Paige Leitman, PhD, IBERAD, recently earned certification by the International Board of Environmental Risk Assessors (IBERA), a program of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC).

Paige will join Jason Conder and Jean Zodrow as one of three IBERA-Certified Professional Risk Assessors at Geosyntec recognized as an IBERA Diplomate (IBERAD).

Paige is a Project Scientist based in Georgia with more than 20 years of experience in environmental risk assessment, marine biology, permitting, hazardous site cleanup, and natural resources damage assessment. With a focus on marine ecological risk assessment, she supports projects in the United States and internationally, using many analytical methods to assess bioavailability and understand the potential effects of site-related constituents in the sediment and water matrix.

Addressing ecological risk assessment, ecotoxicology, and environmental chemistry, IBERA designation requires several years of nonacademic work experience and a rigorous application and examination process. It proves that those certified are experts in their field, honor the profession, and can provide scientifically robust and technically advanced environmental risk assessments.
