Lisa Andrews and Elizabeth Toot-Levy to Present “The American Manufacturing Renaissance” at NERPCA Workshop

Lisa Andrews, PE (Maine), and Beth Toot-Levy (Ohio) will present “The American Manufacturing Renaissance” at the 2023 New England Regional Pretreatment Coordinators Association Workshop at the Sheraton Nashua in Nashua, New Hampshire, at 10:30 a.m. EDT on October 26, 2023.

Lisa is a Senior Engineer with more than 20 years of experience focused on water and wastewater treatment. She is a versatile, client service-focused Project Management Professional (PMP) and licensed Professional Engineer with experience reliably delivering a wide range of industrial water projects.

Beth is a Senior Scientist with 22 years of experience in environmental and regulatory compliance. She joined Geosyntec in 2015 after 14 years at the largest wastewater utility in Ohio. Beth leads multiple National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System and Clean Water Act projects across the country for municipalities, industries, attorneys, and other consultants.

NERPCA is a group of pretreatment professionals located in USEPA Region 1 who are responsible for addressing current pretreatment issues, assisting approved and nonapproved pretreatment programs with pretreatment questions and providing education for all pretreatment personnel in the region.

USEPA Region 1 and NERPCA have developed this annual workshop to address the challenges faced by municipal pretreatment personnel to implement federal, state, and local pretreatment regulations. At this event, government representatives and outside experts will offer pretreatment training, discussions, and presentations.

“The American Manufacturing Renaissance” discusses opportunities and challenges for pretreatment permitting in manufacturing in 2023, providing an analysis of contemporary pretreatment and permitting standards and summarizing the industries’ advancements over the last 50 years.
