Jay will present “Beyond the Basics: AI Tools for Environmental and Energy Practitioners” at 1:25 p.m. CT, and Rica will present “Microplastics Fact vs. Fiction: What We Know, What We Don’t, and Why It Matters” at 3:55 p.m. CT.
Jay is a Principal Environmental Engineer based in Minnesota focused on site investigation and remediation, environmental forensics, environmental cost allocation, and contaminant fate and transport at complex sites. He specializes in synthesizing contaminant fate and transport evaluations, chemical forensics, statistical analyses, and site history.
Rica is a Senior Environmental Engineer based in Minnesota with more than 15 years of experience focused on applying computational modeling and data science within environmental consulting and forensics. Her work involves chemical fingerprinting and modeling of hydrodynamics and sediment transport to address emerging contaminants.
The Minnesota Environmental Institute brings together environmental practitioners to explore current issues, regulations, and best practices shaping environmental law, policy, and science in Minnesota.
