Hari Parthasarathy, PhD, PE; Herwig Goldemund, PhD; and Seth Kellogg, PG, will speak at the Utility Solid Waste Activities Group (USWAG) PFAS Workshop: Managing and Mitigating PFAS Risk in Utility Operations. Their contributions include two presentations and two panels during the workshop, which will be held May 21 and 22, 2025, in Irving, Texas.

Hari is a Principal Environmental Engineer based in Georgia with more than 10 years of experience focused on water chemistry and water and wastewater treatment system design and operation.

Herwig is a Principal Scientist based in Vermont with more than 24 years of academic and professional experience, including laboratory and field-scale research, land application of industrial residues, nutrient and trace element (e.g., metals) transport in the vadose zone, and college-level teaching.

Seth is a Senior Principal Geologist based in New Jersey with more than 31 years of experience evaluating and remediating sites impacted by contaminants including PFAS, mercury, and volatile organic compounds. She is a leader in addressing sites impacted by PFAS, has coauthored best-practices guidance on the topic, and is an advisor on PFAS policy.

The PFAS Workshop will address a range of PFAS technical and regulatory issues that electric and gas utilities may face in connection with site assessment and remediation, real estate transactions, decommissioning and demolition projects, and day-to-day operations.
