Geosyntec to Present at the SETAC North America Annual Meeting
Geosyntec’s Rachel Zajac-Fay (Florida), Elizabeth Nichols (Florida), Wendy Hovel, PhD, (California), and Kaylin McDermett, PhD, (Pennsylvania) will speak at the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) North American Annual Meeting November 12 through 16, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Zach Pandelides, PhD; Jason Conder, PhD; Marianne Batchelder; Jean Zodrow, PhD; Hasti Ziaei, PhD; and Rachel Zajac-Fay will present posters. Geosyntec practitioners will be speaking on a variety of topics including PFAS aquatic food web models for ecological risk assessment, PFAS, passive sampling, microplastics, multi-stressor analysis, and sediment toxicity. Rachel Zajac-Fay will co-chair the technical session, “Risk Communication: Strategies and Platforms that Work for new and/or Complex Risk Management Needs,” this session will be held Wednesday November 15, and also co-chair the Women in SETAC Luncheon on Tuesday, November 14.
Geosyntec practitioners will be available at booth 50 in the conference hall.
In addition, Geosyntec practitioners will be available at booth 50 in the conference hall.
The 2023 SETAC Annual Meeting is organized around the theme, “One Environment, One Health.” The speakers’ presentations focus on issues that impact humans and the ecosystem alike, and the scientific sessions broadly represent the collaborative approach that is needed to address environmental challenges under the one health paradigm.
SETAC is dedicated to advancing environmental science and management practices in addition to promoting science-informed decision-making through collaboration, communication, education, and leadership. They fulfill that purpose through events, publications, awards, and education programs.
