Geosyntec Earns Recognition from the United States National Safety Council
Geosyntec received the Operational Excellence Achievement Award and the Million Work Hours Award (3,000,000 hours continuously) from the United States National Safety Council. Because these awards are based on our global metrics, they recognize the firm’s health and safety excellence worldwide.
The Operational Excellence Award honors firms that finish the calendar year with a rate of serious injuries less than one-half the United States national average. The Million Work Hours Award is given to firms that continuously work more than 1,000,000 hours with no serious injuries; for this honor, Geosyntec was recognized for one million, two million, and three million employee work hours without occupational injury or illness involving days away from work.
These awards are proof of Geosyntec’s ongoing emphasis on superior health and safety performance. The firm measures, reviews, and strives for continuous improvement in our health and safety performance by embedding procedures and management systems at every level of our organization and in every region where we work. All employees are trained in the firm’s behavior-based programs to help them assess potential risks and avoid hazards through effective risk management.
The National Safety Council is an organization focused on eliminating the leading causes of preventable death and injury. A nonprofit chartered by the United States Congress, the organization has local chapters, global networks, and more than 50,000 members working to advance the mission to keep people safe.
