Geosyntec Contributes to IWC 2025

Phil Benson, Nick Butson, Hamid Amini, Padam Neupane, and Kevin Dufresne will speak and lead discussions at the Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP) International Water Conference (IWC).

The conference will be held November 9 through 13, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.

Phil is a Senior Principal Engineer based in Washington, DC, with more than 40 years of experience focused on the delivery of water projects for power, mining, and manufacturing industries. Phil is a recognized expert in water management for power plants.

Nick is a Senior Engineer based in Ontario with more than 10 years of experience focused on wastewater treatment and process engineering for clients in the food-and-beverage and mining industries. He offers expertise in the chemistry and microbiology of wastewater treatment systems.

Hamid is a Senior Principal Engineer based in California with more than 25 years of experience focused on environmental engineering, water and wastewater treatment, process engineering, compliance monitoring, and civil development.

Kevin is a Principal Engineer based in Ontario with more than 20 years of experience in water and wastewater process design, operation, and troubleshooting, including developing and evaluating passive and semi-passive treatment options for emerging contaminants.

Padam is a Professional Engineer based in Ontario specializing in water and wastewater treatment, biological treatment, and sustainable water management. He uses his expertise in system optimization, regulatory compliance, and permitting to deliver resilient water solutions.

The IWC presents timely, relevant science and continuing education for professionals and students, showcasing new technologies and products in the industry. The organization is dedicated to encouraging the next generation of water-related engineers through hands-on courses, practical continuing education, and professional networking.

Since 1880, ESWP has been a center for engineering excellence, promoting the many diverse disciplines of the engineering profession through programs and events for professional engineers, young engineers, and students.
