Geosyntec and SiREM Contribute to AEHS West Coast Conference

Jason Conder, PhD, IBERAD, Phil Dennis, and Michael Healey will present, and Rula Deeb, PhD, BCEEM, PMP, will chair a session at the Association for Environmental Health and Sciences (AEHS) 34th Annual International Conference on Soil, Water, Energy, and Air. The conference, also known as AEHS West, will be held March 17 through 20, 2025, in San Diego, California.

SiREM practitioners will be available at booth 22 to meet with attendees.

Jason is a Principal Scientist based in California with more than 15 years of experience focused on risk assessment and contaminated sediments with an emphasis on contaminated site assessment and management, environmental toxicology, and ecological and human health risk assessment.

Phil is a Senior Principal Scientist based in Ontario with more than 30 years of experience focused on environmental microbiology, molecular genetic testing, enhanced bioremediation, and technology commercialization. He directs SiREM’s molecular testing and next-generation sequencing services.

Michael is a Senior Professional based in Ontario with experience focused on bench-scale studies to evaluate remediation technologies for chlorinated solvents and other recalcitrant compounds and the development of the SP3™ passive sampler. He is Treatability Manager for SiREM.

Rula is a Senior Principal based in California with more than 25 years of experience focused on addressing the cross-media fate and transport of contaminants and remediating complex soil and groundwater sites impacted by nonaqueous-phase liquids. She is an internationally recognized expert on per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

AEHS West brings the environmental science community together by providing a forum for the exchange of wide-ranging information on technological advances, scientific achievements, and standing environmental regulation programs. The diverse technical program is customized each year to meet the changing needs of the environmental field.

The AEHS Foundation is a nonprofit professional organization that fosters communication and cooperation among professionals who assess, clean up, and protect soil, sediment, and water. The AEHS network spans professional disciplines, including biology, chemistry, geology, engineering, and regulatory science.
