The Board of Directors for Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce the election of Majdi Othman, PhD, PE, as President and CEO of the firm, effective January 2025. Majdi succeeds Peter Zeeb, PhD, PG, who has served in the role for eight years.
Over the past decade, Geosyntec has grown to more than 2,600 employees supporting our clients’ most complex and challenging initiatives. Our entrepreneurial team has expanded operations in 11 countries, further building a diverse set of high value practices centered on leading subject matter expertise, innovation and collaboration. Majdi’s election begins in a new period of growth rooted in our commitment to practice excellence and a collaborative and collegial company culture.
Reflecting on his tenure as President and CEO and his hope for the future of the firm, Peter expressed “The opportunity to serve as CEO of Geosyntec has been a true honor full of rewards and challenges. A 32-year veteran of Geosyntec, Majdi has proven himself as a committed, collaborative, inclusive leader. He earned his BS degree in Civil Engineering from Kuwait University and his MS and PhD degrees in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. At Geosyntec, Majdi built practices applying geotechnical, environmental, and civil engineering to waste containment, contaminated site remediation, and renewable energy projects. In addition to his business acumen and command of the company’s capabilities, experience, and position in the marketplace, he is a purposeful leader who is focused on building trust and helping employees achieve successful and rewarding careers.
