His presentation will be entitled "State Incentives for CHP Reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions." Darrell's session will describe how on site distributed generation, from combined heat and power, plays a significant role in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The state of Massachusetts has created a specific subset under their RPS program, referred to as the APS Program, (Alternate Portfolio Standards), designed to financially incentivize the design and construction of "new" fuel efficient combined heat and power plants. One of the many positive outcomes from the APS program is the statewide reduction of greenhouse gases.

The 39th World Energy Engineering Congress will be held Sept. 21-23, 2016 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Hall D, in Washington, DC. It is known to be one of the largest and most comprehensive events where industry leaders can get the "big picture" and see exactly how the economic and market forces, new technologies, regulatory developments, and industry trends unite.
